Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams is an animated musical movie from 2007. It was made by Walt Disney Pictures and DisneyToon Studios. This film was released straight to DVD on September 4, 2007.

It was meant to be the first movie in a new series called Disney Princess Enchanted Tales. Each film would tell new stories about different Disney Princesses. This movie features two new adventures. One is about Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. The other is about Princess Jasmine from Aladdin.

About the Movie's Creation

This movie was planned to be the start of a series. The idea was to create short stories about different Disney princesses. These stories would be grouped together based on similar themes.

Originally, the first movie in the series was going to be called A Kingdom of Kindness. It would have featured a different story for Aurora. It also would have included a story about Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Trailers for this version were even shown on other Disney DVDs. However, it was never released.

A second movie in the series was also planned for 2008. It was going to have new stories for Cinderella and Mulan. But this film was also never released. This happened because Follow Your Dreams didn't sell as well as expected.

The Stories in the Movie

This movie has two main stories, each about a different princess.

Aurora's Story: Keys to the Kingdom

This story features characters from Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty. King Stefan, Queen Leah, King Hubert, and Prince Phillip leave the kingdom. They are away for two days at a Royal Conference.

This means Princess Aurora must rule the kingdom while they are gone. The three good fairies offer to help her. But Aurora feels she can do it all by herself. Merryweather gives Aurora her magic wand. She warns Aurora to be very careful with it.

Aurora has many tasks to do. She needs to plan banquets and deal with people. She also has to organize the servants. At first, Aurora tries to do everything without magic. But after a long day, she starts to use the wand. She helps a farmer who needs new animals. Her magic goes wrong, creating giant chickens and green pigs! She even turns the farmer into a duck.

When her family returns, Aurora realizes her mistake. She quickly finds ways to fix the problems without magic. In the end, she hosts a successful royal banquet.

Jasmine's Story: More Than a Peacock Princess

This story features characters from Walt Disney's Aladdin. It takes place after the movie Aladdin and the King of Thieves. Princess Jasmine is bored with her usual princess duties. She wants more important responsibilities.

Her father, The Sultan, gives her a new job. She becomes the "Royal Assistant Educator" at the Royal Academy. Jasmine is excited at first. But then she meets her students. They are very naughty! They draw on walls, have pillow fights, and throw books.

Jasmine tries to get her pet tiger, Rajah, to scare them. But the kids ignore him. Jasmine feels like giving up. Later, her lady-in-waiting tells her she needs patience and to keep trying.

The next day, a stable boy named Hakeem asks for Jasmine's help. The Sultan's special horse, Sahara, is missing. If Sahara isn't found, Hakeem will lose his job. Jasmine decides to find the horse. She gets help from Carpet, Abu, and Iago.

Jasmine finds Sahara and brings him back to the palace. Because of this, she earns the respect of her students and her father.
