The Division of Bendigo is a special area in Victoria, Australia. It is part of how Australia chooses its leaders. This area elects a person to represent it in the Australian Parliament.
The Division of Bendigo was created in 1900. This was just before Australia's first federal election in 1901. It is named after the city of Bendigo. In its early days, the division only covered the city of Bendigo. Over time, its borders changed. It grew to include towns like Echuca, Castlemaine, Maryborough, and Seymour. Today, it includes Bendigo, Castlemaine, Kyneton, and Maldon.
