The Division of Corio is an area in Victoria that elects a person to represent it in the Australian Parliament. It was one of the first 75 areas created for Australia's very first federal election in 1901.
This area is named after Corio Bay, a large bay near the city of Geelong. The Division of Corio covers about 989 square kilometres and includes the city of Geelong. In the past, it also included parts of the western suburbs of Melbourne.

Famous Members of Corio
Over the years, several important people have been the MP for Corio.
- Richard Crouch was one of the first MPs for Corio. He was the youngest member in the very first Australian Parliament. He later helped create the Prime Ministers Avenue in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.
- Richard Casey was an MP for Corio in the 1930s. He became a very important government minister. Later, he even became the Governor-General, who is the King's representative in Australia.
- Hubert Opperman was a famous cycling champion before he became an MP. He also served as a minister in the government led by Robert Menzies.
- Gordon Scholes was the MP for Corio for a long time. He was the Speaker of the House of Representatives during the Whitlam Government. The Speaker is like the referee in parliament, making sure debates follow the rules. Gordon Scholes also became a minister in the government led by Bob Hawke.
- Richard Marles is the current MP for Corio. Before becoming an MP, he was a leader at the ACTU, which is a group that helps workers. He has also been a Minister for Trade in the government.
