The Division of Jagajaga is an area in Victoria, Australia. It's a special area used for elections to the Australian Parliament. This division covers many north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, located north of the Yarra River.

It includes suburbs like Ivanhoe, Heidelberg, Greensborough, and Eltham. When people in these areas vote in federal elections, they vote for a person to represent Jagajaga in the Australian Parliament.

How Jagajaga Got Its Name

The Division of Jagajaga was created in 1984. It was named after three Wurundjeri Aboriginal Australian men. Their names were Jagajaga, Longerenong, and Jika Jika.

These men were important. They supposedly signed a special agreement in 1835. This agreement was called the Batman Treaty. They signed it with John Batman, who was one of the people who helped start the city of Melbourne.
