This division was created in 1984. It was named after the Riverina region and the Darling River. The area included towns like Broken Hill, Griffith, Hay, and Narrandera. The Division of Riverina-Darling stopped existing in 1993. After that, a different division, called the Division of Watson (1934–69), took its place.
