Dixie is a small community in Walla Walla County, Washington, in the United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that looks like a town but isn't officially set up as one. In 2020, about 225 people lived there.
The community of Dixie has had a post office since 1881. It has its own elementary school, which is part of the Dixie School District. After elementary school, older students attend Pioneer Middle School and Walla Walla High School in nearby Walla Walla. The name Dixie comes from a famous song called "Dixie."
