Aïssa Djabir Saïd-Guerni (born on March 29, 1977, in Algiers, Algeria) is a famous retired athlete. He was best known for running the 800 metres race. Aïssa represented his home country, Algeria, in two Olympic Games. He was also chosen to carry the flag for Algeria at both the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics.
He stopped competing in athletics on May 6, 2007. This was because he had problems with injuries. His fastest time ever in the 800 metres was 1 minute and 43.09 seconds. He achieved this amazing speed in September 1999 in Brussels.

Aïssa also had great success in African competitions. He won gold medals at the African Championships in Athletics. In 2000, he won two gold medals in Algiers, Algeria: one for the 800 metres and another for the 4 × 400 metres relay race. He won another gold medal in the 800 metres at the 2002 African Championships in Radès, Tunisia.
He also earned a silver medal at the 1999 All-Africa Games in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1997, at the Pan Arab Games in Beirut, Lebanon, he won two gold medals (800m and 4x400m relay) and a bronze medal (1500m). He also secured a bronze medal at the Mediterranean Games in Bari, Italy that same year.
