Charles "Doc" Gamble is an American football coach. He is currently the special teams coordinator at Florida A&M University. Before this, he was the head football coach at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff from 2020 until October 2022.

Doc Gamble's Coaching Journey
Doc Gamble has had a long and interesting career in football coaching. He has coached at both high school and college levels.
High School Coaching Success
Gamble had a very successful time coaching high school football. He coached at Withrow High School in Cincinnati and Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Ohio. During his time, his teams won 53 games and lost only 19. He also helped 120 of his players go on to play college football. In 2004, he received the Paul Brown Excellence in Coaching Award for his great work.
Early College Coaching Roles
Gamble began his college coaching career at University of Tennessee at Martin, which was his own college. He also worked as an assistant coach at Mount St. Joseph University. He spent time as a graduate assistant at East Carolina University, where he helped coach the linebackers. Later, he was an offensive assistant at the University of Cincinnati. At Alcorn State University, Gamble had many different jobs. He coached running backs and tight ends, and he was also the person in charge of finding new players, known as the recruiting coordinator.
Coaching Wide Receivers at Kent State
Doc Gamble coached the wide receivers at Kent State University for five seasons. He helped many players improve their skills. One of his notable players was Dri Archer, who became an all-conference wide receiver. Several other players he coached also earned all-conference honors.
Leading the Arkansas–Pine Bluff Golden Lions
Before becoming a head coach, Gamble spent two seasons at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He was the associate head coach and coached the quarterbacks. In 2019, the Arkansas–Pine Bluff team was second in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) for passing yards.
When the head coach left, Gamble was chosen to be the interim head coach. On April 23, 2020, he was officially named the 21st head football coach for Arkansas–Pine Bluff. He led the team until midway through the 2022 season.
Current Role at Florida A&M
In July 2023, it was announced that Doc Gamble joined the coaching staff at Florida A&M University. He is now the special teams coordinator for the Florida A&M team. In this role, he helps coach the players who handle special plays like kickoffs, punts, and field goals.
