Charles "Doc" Gamble is an American football coach. He helps teams play their best. Currently, he works as the special teams coordinator for the Florida A&M Rattlers. Before this, he was the head coach for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football team. He led that team from 2020 until late 2022.

Doc Gamble's Coaching Journey
Doc Gamble has coached football for many years. He has worked with high school teams and college teams. He helps young players grow and succeed.
Coaching High School Teams
Doc Gamble had a great time coaching high school football. He coached at Withrow High School in Cincinnati and Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Ohio. His teams won 53 games and lost only 19. He helped 120 of his players go on to play college football. In 2004, he won the Paul Brown Excellence in Coaching Award.
Early College Coaching Roles
Gamble started his college coaching career at Tennessee–Martin, where he used to play. He was an assistant coach at Mount St. Joseph University. He also worked as a graduate assistant at East Carolina, helping with linebackers. Later, he was an offensive assistant at Cincinnati. At Alcorn State, he had many jobs. He coached running backs and tight ends. He also helped find new players as the recruiting coordinator.
Coaching at Kent State
Doc Gamble coached the wide receivers at Kent State University for five seasons. He helped many players improve their skills. One of his notable players was Dri Archer, who became an all-conference wide receiver.
Leading the Arkansas–Pine Bluff Team
Gamble spent two years at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He was the associate head coach and coached the quarterbacks. In 2019, his team was second in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) for passing yards.
When the head coach left, Gamble became the interim head coach. On April 23, 2020, he was officially named the head football coach. He led the team for a few seasons. After a challenging period, he left the role in 2022. His overall college head coaching record was 8 wins and 15 losses.
Joining Florida A&M
In July 2023, Doc Gamble joined the coaching staff at Florida A&M. He now works as the special teams coordinator for the team. He helps players with special plays like kickoffs and punts.
