Dodge Ridge Wintersports Area is a fun ski area in California. It is located near Pinecrest. You can find it in Tuolumne County, right off Highway 108. It's about 30 miles east of Sonora.

This resort is inside the Stanislaus National Forest. It operates with a special permit. Many skiers from the San Francisco Bay Area and San Joaquin Valley love Dodge Ridge. It's also close to Yosemite National Park. The winter sports season usually runs from late November to mid-April. The top of the mountain is 8,200 feet high. The Helm family owns Dodge Ridge.

Hit the Slopes: Skiing and Snowboarding

The mountain first opened in 1950. It has 862 acres of skiable land. This means there's plenty of space for everyone! You can find slopes for all ages and skill levels.

About 20% of the trails are perfect for beginners. If you're still learning, these are great. Another 40% of the trails are for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The remaining 40% are for advanced riders. These offer more challenge and excitement.

Dodge Ridge has five awesome terrain parks. They range from easy to very advanced. Some of these parks include Stagecoach, Rocky's Road, and Progression. The Stagecoach park is the most advanced. It has cool features like a staircase, a 14-foot wall, and big jumps.

If you enjoy exploring at a slower pace, Dodge Ridge has options for you. The mountain offers many trails for cross-country skiing. You can also go snowshoeing here. It's a great way to see the snowy forest.

Welcome to the Lodge: Base Facilities

In 2007, a new family lodge opened at Dodge Ridge. This lodge is a great place to warm up and relax. It has a special children's center. There's also a bistro where you can grab a bite to eat. You can buy your tickets at the ticket center.

The rental center was updated in 2008. This makes it easier to get your gear. The parking lots were also recently repaved. Everything is set up for a smooth and fun visit!
