Donald Hawkins, born on April 22, 1992, is a former American football player. He played as a tackle, which is an important position on the offensive line. Donald played college football at Northwest Mississippi Community College and the University of Texas. After college, he joined many professional teams, including teams in the NFL and the CFL.

Early Life and High School Football
Donald Hawkins grew up in Tunica, Mississippi. He played high school football at Rosa Fort High School. During his time there, he played both offense and defense. He was recognized as a top player in his district in 2008 and 2009. In his senior year, 2009, he was chosen as the team captain. His team even became co-district champions that year.
College Football Journey
Donald Hawkins started his college football career at Northwest Mississippi Community College. He played there from 2010 to 2011. He was a standout player and was named a First-team All-American in 2011. He also earned several other awards for his performance.
After two years, he transferred to the University of Texas to play for the Texas Longhorns. He played for the Longhorns in 2012 and 2013. During his time there, he started in 24 of the 25 games he played. In 2013, he was named a First-team All-Big 12 player, which is a big honor.
Professional Football Career
Donald Hawkins began his professional football journey in 2014. He joined several teams in the NFL and later in other leagues.
Playing for NFL Teams
After the 2014 NFL draft, Hawkins signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. He later joined the Cleveland Browns and then the Dallas Cowboys in the same year.
In 2015, he played for the Miami Dolphins. He was also part of the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad that year.
In 2016, Hawkins signed with the Carolina Panthers. Later that year, he joined the New York Jets. He was promoted to the Jets' main roster in December 2016.
His last NFL team was the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017.
Playing in Other Leagues
In 2019, Donald Hawkins played in the Alliance of American Football (AAF). He was with the San Antonio Commanders, Arizona Hotshots, Orlando Apollos, and Memphis Express during that time.
From 2021 to 2023, Hawkins played in the CFL. He was a member of the Montreal Alouettes. He was released by the team in February 2023.
