Donna Richardson Joyner (born November 3, 1962) is an American fitness expert, author, and TV host. She is well-known for her fitness videos and for helping people stay active. In 2006, she was chosen by President George W. Bush to be part of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
Donna also creates and hosts TV shows like Donna Richardson: Mind, Body, & Spirit on TV One. She also has a show called Sweating In The Spirit on The Word Network. She has also helped guide important groups like the Women's Sports Foundation and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Donna Richardson grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. She went to Montgomery Blair High School. She was the first African-American homecoming queen at her school. She often talks about how her teacher, Saundra Woods, helped her to do her best. Donna later went to Hollins College. There, she studied Health Education and Dance.
Her Personal Life
Donna Richardson met famous radio host Tom Joyner in 1997. She was a guest on his radio show. They got engaged in 1998 and married on July 29, 2000, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They are no longer married.
Donna's Fitness Journey
Donna Richardson Joyner is a certified International Fitness Expert. She started her career as an aerobics instructor. She began teaching others and even competed in aerobics contests around the world.
In 1992, she became a co-host for the ESPN Fitness Pros Show. She also appeared in her first fitness video, Platinum Buns of Steel.
The Oprah Winfrey Show named Donna as one of the "Top 5 Fitness Video Instructors." Fitness magazine also called her one of their "Top 10 Movers and Shakers." She was even added to the National Fitness Hall of Fame.
Donna Richardson Joyner was not only the star of Sweating in the Spirit, but she also helped produce the show. She has given talks in 40 countries. She has also been a speaker on many national tours, like God's Leading Ladies and Sisters In The Spirit.
In 2006, Essence magazine named Donna as one of the “25 most inspiring women in America.”
Donna Richardson Joyner is in the Guinness Book of World Records. She led the world's largest line dance with over 50,000 people. This big event happened at Megafest in Atlanta, Georgia.
