Donatas Montvydas (born on October 22, 1987), known as Donny Montell, is a singer and songwriter from Lithuania. He is famous for representing his country twice at the Eurovision Song Contest. He first went to Eurovision in 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Then, he represented Lithuania again in 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Donatas Montvydas was born in Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania. His family is very musical and artistic. His mother was a gymnast, and his father played drums in a hard rock band called Plackartas. Donatas's older sister is also a professional dancer.
Donatas loved music from a very young age. He started performing when he was just six years old. His singing teacher helped him join a contest for young singers called Dainų dainelė ("The Song of Songs"). He sang a song called "Aš kiškelis mažas" and won an award. In 2008, he won a big prize at the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus. This was a major step in his music career.

When Donny Montell was a child, he really looked up to famous artists like Michael Jackson and the rock band Queen. He would often pretend to be them. He especially admired Freddie Mercury, Queen's lead singer, for his unique personality and stage presence. Donny has also said that his father is his biggest inspiration in music and life.

The Eurovision Song Contest is a huge international music competition. Countries from all over Europe (and some beyond) send a singer or group to perform an original song. People vote for their favorite songs, and a winner is chosen.
Donny Montell has represented Lithuania twice at this big event:
- In 2012, he sang the song "Love Is Blind". He made it to the Grand Final and finished in 14th place.
- In 2016, he returned to Eurovision with the song "I've Been Waiting for This Night". This time, he did even better, finishing in 9th place in the Grand Final. This was a great achievement for Lithuania!

Besides singing, Donny Montell has also appeared on television shows.
- In 2010, he was a contestant on a show called Šok su manimi, which means "Dance with me". He won the competition!
- From 2013 to 2021, he was a judge on Lietuvos balsas, which is the Lithuanian version of the popular singing show The Voice. He helped new singers find their talent for many seasons.
- He also judged Lietuvos balsas. Vaikai (The Voice Kids) from 2019 to 2021, helping young singers.
