Donatas Montvydas (born on October 22, 1987), known by his stage name Donny Montell, is a singer and songwriter from Lithuania. He is famous for representing his country twice at the Eurovision Song Contest. He first competed in 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and then again in 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Donny Montell's Early Life and Music
Donatas Montvydas was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. Music was a big part of his family. His mother was a gymnast, and his father, Algirdas Montvydas, played drums in a hard rock band called Plackartas. Donny's older sister is also a professional dancer.
Donny started singing very young. When he was just six years old, his singing teacher helped him join a contest for young singers called Dainų dainelė ("The Song of Songs"). He sang "Aš kiškelis mažas" and won an award. In 2008, he won a major prize at the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus.
Who Inspired Donny?
When Donny was a child, he loved artists like Michael Jackson and the rock band Queen. He would often pretend to be them. He also really admired Freddie Mercury, Queen's lead singer, for his amazing personality. Donny has said that his father is his biggest inspiration in music.
Donny's Family Life
Donny Montell was married to Veronika Brasaitė, who is a dancer. They have two children: a daughter named Adelė, born in 2013, and a son named Kajus, born in 2017. Donny and Veronika divorced in 2024.
