Dr. Luigi is a fun puzzle game for the Wii U console. It was created by Nintendo and Arika. The game came out in North America on December 31, 2013. Players in Europe could get it starting January 15, 2014.

How to Play Dr. Luigi

In Dr. Luigi, your main goal is to get rid of viruses. You do this by lining up vitamins of the same color. There are three colors of vitamins: red, blue, and yellow. You drop special capsules that have two colors on them.

As the capsules fall, you can move them left or right. You can also rotate them to fit better. When you line up four or more vitamins of the same color, they disappear. If viruses are next to these disappearing vitamins, the viruses also get cleared. You earn points for every virus you get rid of. The game ends if the bottle fills up with too many capsules.

Game Modes in Dr. Luigi

Dr. Luigi has four different ways to play. Each mode offers a unique challenge:

  • Retro Remedy: This mode plays just like the classic Dr. Mario games. It's a great way to enjoy the original puzzle fun.
  • Operation L: In this mode, the capsules you drop are shaped like the letter "L". This makes the game a bit trickier and requires new strategies.
  • Virus Buster: For this mode, you hold the Wii U GamePad upright. You use the controller's touch screen to place the capsules. This offers a different, more hands-on way to play.
  • Online Battle: This mode lets you play against other people. You can connect with friends or other players through online multiplayer.
