Drew Antrion Coleman (born April 22, 1983) is a former American professional football player. He played as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). Drew played for the New York Jets for five seasons. He also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Detroit Lions.

Early Life and High School Sports
Drew Coleman grew up in Henderson, Texas. He finished high school there in 2001. Drew was an amazing athlete who played many positions in football. He was a quarterback, wide receiver, running back, and defensive back. He also returned punts and kicks. In his senior year, he helped his team win a District championship.
Drew earned many awards in high school. He was named District MVP and All-East Texas. He was also the Rusk County player of the year and received All-State honors. Besides football, Drew was a great basketball player. He was named the District and All-East Texas Defensive MVP in his junior and senior years.
College Football Journey
After high school, Drew Coleman went to Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas. He played wide receiver and quarterback for two years. In 2002, he was named the Southwest Junior College Football Conference Player of the Year. He was also the Offensive Player of the Year.
Later, Drew transferred to Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth. At TCU, his coach, Gary Patterson, changed his position to cornerback. In 2005, during his senior year, Drew started all 12 games. His team, the TCU Horned Frogs, won the Mountain West Conference Championship with an 11–1 record. Drew was second on the team with 4 interceptions. He also tied for first with 8 passes broken up. After this successful season, he was named Second-team All-MWC. He studied speech communication in college.
Playing in the NFL
Drew Coleman was chosen by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL draft. He was the 189th player picked overall.
New York Jets Highlights
As a new player (rookie) with the Jets in 2006, Drew played in all 17 games. The Jets made it to the playoffs that year. He often played as a nickelback, which is a defensive player who covers extra wide receivers. He also became a strong player on special teams, which are units that handle kickoffs and punts.
In his first game, he forced a fumble against the New England Patriots. He started four games as a cornerback in his rookie year. He was even named the Jets Special Teams Player of the Week for a win against Buffalo.
In 2007, Drew continued to play on special teams. Later in the season, he started playing more in defensive plays. He got his first interception against the Miami Dolphins in December 2007. He also forced a fumble during a sack in the last game of the 2007 season.
In 2009, Drew made 22 tackles. In the 2010 season, he had 41 tackles, four sacks, five forced fumbles, and one interception. He made a big impact in 2010 when he filled in for an injured teammate against the Patriots. He helped the Jets defense stop the Patriots from scoring a touchdown in the second half. In another game, he intercepted a pass from Chad Henne to help the Jets win. He also sacked Brett Favre and had 10 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles in a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions
Drew signed a three-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011. He played in all 16 games during the 2011 season. However, he was released by the Jaguars in May 2012.
After that, Drew signed a one-year contract with the Detroit Lions in July 2012. He was later placed on injured reserve and then released in August 2012.
