Duane Harden (born August 5, 1971) is an American singer and songwriter. He was born in Germany. He is famous for singing on many popular dance music songs. He has worked with different music producers.

He became very well known in the United Kingdom. In 1999, he sang on two big dance hits. These were "You Don't Know Me" with Armand Van Helden and "What You Need" with Powerhouse. "You Don't Know Me" even reached the top of the UK Singles Chart in January 1999.

Duane Harden's Music Journey

Duane Harden began his music career in 1997. He teamed up with Moises Modesto. Together, they formed a group called MODU Productions. Harden's first project was helping to produce and write a song. It was called "The Love That I Once Knew" for Tekitha Washington.

Harden's first song as a singer was "Don't You Ever Give Up." It was released in 1998. This song was produced by MODU. In 1999, he had two very big dance hits. He sang on "You Don't Know Me" by Armand Van Helden. This song became number one in the United Kingdom. It also reached number two on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the United States. This is the song he is most famous for.

Later in 1999, Harden had another number one hit. This was on the Hot Dance Music chart. The song was "What You Need." It was credited to Powerhouse featuring Duane Harden. Lenny Fontana produced this song. In 2000, he had another hit called "Sunshine (Dance With You)." This song reached number nineteen on the charts. It was credited to Infinity featuring Duane Harden.

Duane Harden as a Songwriter

Duane Harden has also written songs for other artists. Between 1999 and 2000, he wrote "Believe" for Ministers De La Funk. Jocelyn Brown sang the vocals on that song. He also wrote "Stop Playing With My Mind" for Barbara Tucker. Another song he wrote was "Pow Pow Pow" for Lenny Fontana. Darryl D'Bonneau sang on that track.

Harden also sang on Chicane's song "One More Time." In 2010, he worked with Ministers De La Funk again. They released a single together called "I Feel Love."
