Eagle is a small village located in the southwestern part of Cass County, Nebraska, in the United States. In 2020, a count of the people living there, the village had a population of 1,065 residents.

History of Eagle, Nebraska

Eagle was officially planned and laid out in 1886. This happened when the Missouri Pacific Railroad tracks were built to reach that spot. For a short time, the village was also known by the name "Sunlight."

The name "Eagle" likely came from the wild eagles that the first settlers saw in the area. These large birds were a common sight when people first moved there.
