Eagle-Eye Lanoo Cherry (born May 7, 1968) is a Swedish musician and actor. He is most famous for his hit song "Save Tonight" from 1997. The song was a huge success in many countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
Eagle-Eye Cherry comes from a very musical family. His father was the famous American jazz musician Don Cherry, and his mother was the Swedish artist Moki Cherry. His half-sister is the singer Neneh Cherry.
Before he became a famous singer, he tried acting. But music became his main focus after his first album, Desireless, became a worldwide hit. His music is a mix of rock, alternative rock, and acoustic styles. He can speak both English and Swedish fluently.

Early Life and Family
Eagle-Eye Cherry was born in Stockholm, Sweden. His father, Don Cherry, was an American jazz artist, and his mother, Moki Cherry, was a Swedish artist and designer. His father had Choctaw and African-American roots.
He is the half-brother of singer Neneh Cherry. When he was 12, he moved to New York City to go to school. He stayed there to work as an actor and also played the drums in different bands. At age 16, he went to the High School of Performing Arts, where he was in the same class as future stars Jennifer Aniston and Chaz Bono.

Starting in Acting
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Eagle-Eye Cherry started his career as an actor. He had small roles in movies like Arthur 2: On the Rocks (1988) and Born on the Fourth of July (1989). He also appeared in a few TV shows, including The Cosby Show.
Focusing on Music
After his father passed away in 1995, Eagle-Eye moved back to Stockholm. He decided to focus more on his music. He started writing and recording his first album, Desireless, in his bedroom with an acoustic guitar.
The album was released in 1997 and became a huge success all over the world. It sold four million copies and was certified platinum in the United States, which means it sold over a million copies there. The song "Save Tonight" from this album is still his most famous hit.
Later Work
Since his first album, Eagle-Eye has released several more, including Living in the Present Future (2000) and Streets of You (2018).
He has also worked with other famous artists. He co-wrote and sang on the song "Wishing It Was" for the band Santana's popular album Supernatural. His music has been featured in many movies, such as Holes and Billy Elliot.
