The East Fork of the East Branch of the Saco River is a small stream about 2.2 miles (3.5 km) long. It flows through the beautiful White Mountains in New Hampshire, United States. This stream is a tributary, which means it's like a smaller helper river. It joins the East Branch of the Saco River. Eventually, its water travels all the way to the Atlantic Ocean in Maine.

Where the River Starts

This stream begins high up on the western slopes of two tall mountains: North Baldface and South Baldface. These mountains are very rocky and stand over 3,500 feet (1,067 meters) above sea level! They are part of the large White Mountain National Forest.

The River's Journey

The East Fork flows south from the mountains. It then enters the town of Jackson. Finally, it meets the East Branch of the Saco River. This meeting point is in a wide valley. On one side of the valley is Sable Mountain, and on the other is Black Mountain.
