East Pen Island, also known as Pen Island, is a small island in Nunavut, Canada. It is one of many islands in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago that no one lives on. This island is found in the southwestern part of Hudson Bay.
East Pen Island is part of a group called the Pen Islands. However, West Pen Island is actually a spit, which is a narrow piece of land sticking out into the water, not a true island. East Pen Island is located near the coast of Ontario, just a few kilometers southeast of Manitoba. The closest town is Fort Severn, Ontario.
