Echichens is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Morges area. It is part of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.
On July 1, 2011, something big happened for Echichens! Three nearby towns – Colombier, Monnaz, and Saint-Saphorin-sur-Morges – decided to join together. They all became part of the new, bigger municipality of Echichens. This made Echichens a more important place in the region.
