Saint-Saphorin-sur-Morges was once a small town, or municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Vaud, which is like a state or region. The town was part of the Morges district.
On July 1, 2011, Saint-Saphorin-sur-Morges joined with two other villages, Colombier and Monnaz. They all became part of a larger municipality called Echichens.

The village of Saint-Saphorin-sur-Morges is very old. It was first written about in the year 1171. At that time, its name was Sancti Simphoriani.
