About Edurne
Her Early Life and First Steps
Edurne was born in Madrid, Spain, on December 22, 1985. She started going to auditions when she was a child. At nine years old, she joined a children's music group called Trastos. She also had small acting roles in Spanish TV shows. These included Hospital Central in 2002 and Ana y los 7 in 2003.
In late 2005, Edurne tried out for the fourth season of Operación Triunfo. The show's judges chose her to be a contestant. She was voted off in the 12th live show. This meant she finished in sixth place in early 2006.
Her Career in Music and TV
After Operación Triunfo, Edurne began her music career. She signed with Sony BMG Spain. Her first album, Edurne, came out in 2006. It included the hit song "Despierta". This song reached number five on the Spanish music charts. Other songs like "Amores Dormidos" and "Te Falta Veneno" were also popular. They were even used in the Spanish TV show Yo soy Bea.
In 2007, Edurne released her second album, Ilusión. The main song, "Ven Por Mí", was a top twenty hit on the Spanish Dance iTunes Chart. Her third album, Première, came out in 2008. Its first song was "Un Poco de Amor". This was a Spanish version of Queen's "Somebody to Love". She also sang Spanish versions of songs from the musical Grease. This was because she played "Sandy" in the stage show Grease, El Musical de tu Vida from 2007 to 2013.

Her fifth album, Climax, was released in 2013. The song "Pretty Boy" quickly became popular. Another song, "Pankiller", had a music video that people compared to videos by Rihanna and Lady Gaga. In 2013, Edurne won the third season of Tu Cara Me Suena. This is a Spanish show where celebrities pretend to be other singers for charity. She won by impersonating Christina Aguilera and singing "Hurt". From June to December 2014, Edurne hosted the comedy show Todo va bien.
