Early Steps in Journalism

Edwina studied journalism at Charles Sturt University. She also earned a Masters degree in International Studies from Sydney University in 2006. Her big break came when she won a competition for interns at Sunrise. She started by helping out with small tasks, like making coffee. Soon, she moved up to producing parts of the show!

She also worked as a reporter for a radio station called 2GB. Plus, she reported on the Beijing Olympics for the Seven Network.

Becoming a TV Star

After working overseas, Edwina came back to Australia. She continued her work as a reporter for Seven News. In 2011, she became the Sydney correspondent for Sunrise. She also shared stories for another show called Sunday Night.

Edwina married Neil Varcoe in April 2018. They are a happy couple and have two children, a daughter and a son. Edwina and her family live in Sydney.
