Kenneth Ehren McGhehey (born November 29, 1976), also known as Danger Ehren, is an American stunt performer and actor. He used to be a professional snowboarder. He is most famous for being one of the main cast members of the Jackass TV shows and movies.
Early Life and Start
Ehren McGhehey was born and grew up in McMinnville, Oregon. His parents were morticians, so he spent his early life around a mortuary. He is the youngest of three children.
He started skateboarding when he was 12 years old. After finishing high school in 1995, he became a professional snowboarder. However, he had to stop snowboarding because he broke his neck. Later, he got a job at a skate shop in Portland, Oregon. While working there, he began filming his own stunts and ideas.
Joining Jackass
Ehren McGhehey joined the Jackass team after his friend Dave England suggested him to the show's director, Jeff Tremaine. Ehren appeared in all three seasons of the TV show and all four Jackass movies. His personal motto when doing stunts was "Safety First," even though he often got hurt!
His friends and the crew on Jackass often call him "Danger Ehren." This nickname came about because he had a tendency to injure himself and even lose teeth while performing stunts. He was also often the subject of funny pranks and jokes from the Jackass team. One famous example is the "Terror Taxi" skit from Jackass Number Two, which was one of Johnny Knoxville's favorites.
Where You Might Have Seen Him
Ehren McGhehey has appeared in many television shows and films. Most of his roles were as himself in the Jackass TV series and movies. He also appeared in other TV shows like Portlandia and Grimm.
He was also in several Jackass movies, including Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 3D, and Jackass Forever. Besides Jackass, he had roles in films like Grind and All Hell Breaks Loose.
Ehren has also been a guest on podcasts like Steve-O's Wild Ride! and appeared in music videos for bands like Weezer and Modest Mouse. He even lent his voice and movements to the Jackass: The Game video game.
