One cool thing about Elgin is its community park, where people can relax and play. It also has the oldest borough building in all of Erie County! The town was probably named after a place called Elgin, Scotland.

Elgin is in the southeastern part of Erie County. It shares its borders with a few other townships. To the west, you'll find Union Township. To the north is Wayne Township. And to the northwest, east, and south, it's surrounded by Concord Township.

Getting Around Elgin
A main road, U.S. Route 6, runs along the northern edge of Elgin. This road can take you about 5.5 miles east to Corry or about 5.7 miles west to Union City.
Another road, Pennsylvania Route 89, goes northwest from U.S. Route 6. It leads about 7.5 miles to Wattsburg. If you want to go to the city of Erie, it's about 26 miles northwest, by taking PA 89 and then PA 8.
A small stream called Beaver Run flows right through the middle of Elgin. It's a branch of the South Branch French Creek.
