Sean Fenton (born June 4, 1992), who is known by his stage name Elijah Blake, is a talented singer, songwriter, and record producer. As a songwriter, he writes the lyrics and music for songs. As a record producer, he helps guide and manage the recording process of a song.

Blake is famous for writing songs for major artists like Keyshia Cole, Rick Ross, and Rihanna. He also co-wrote the number-one R&B hit song "Climax" for the singer Usher.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Elijah Blake was born in the Dominican Republic. His father is from Haiti and his mother is from the Dominican Republic. He grew up in Florida.

Blake's music career started when he was very young. At just 16 years old, he signed a deal with Atlantic Records. He began working with famous artists, including Trey Songz on his 2009 album, Ready.

In 2012, Blake released his first mixtape, called Bijoux 22. A mixtape is a collection of songs, similar to an album. It included the single "X.O.X," which featured the rapper Common.

Rise to Fame

In 2014, Blake released his first extended play (EP), Drift. An EP is a short musical collection, longer than a single but shorter than a full album.

Soon after, he signed with two record labels, Def Jam Recordings and ARTium Recordings. In 2015, he released the single "I Just Wanna," which came out before his first full album, Shadows & Diamonds.

Blake has also worked with other singers. In 2019, he teamed up with fellow R&B singer Jordin Sparks to release a joint EP called 1990 Forever.

Besides making his own music, Elijah Blake is a very successful songwriter for other musicians. He has written many popular songs for some of the biggest names in music.

He helped write the hit song "Climax" for Usher. For Rihanna, he wrote the song "No Love Allowed" on her album Unapologetic. He has also worked closely with Keyshia Cole, writing several of her songs, including "Enough of No Love" and "I Choose You."
