Ellamore is a small place in West Virginia, United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it does not have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it is part of the larger Randolph and Upshur counties.
Ellamore is located along the Middle Fork River. You can find it on County Route 151. It is about 8 miles (13 km) southeast of a larger town called Buckhannon. Ellamore used to have its own post office, but it closed on July 11, 2009.
History of Ellamore
Ellamore got its name from a special person. The community was named after Ella Moore. She was the wife of a rich man who worked in the lumber business.
