Elli AvrRam (born in 1990) is an actress from Sweden and Greece. She lives in Mumbai, India, and works in Bollywood films. Elli became well-known after being on the Indian reality TV show Bigg Boss in 2013. She is famous for her Hindi film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. Elli also appeared in the song "Har Funn Maula" from the film Koi Jaane Na with actor Aamir Khan.

Early Life and Interests

Elli AvrRam was born in Stockholm, Sweden. She grew up in a place called Tyresö kommun, near Stockholm. Her father, Jannis Avramidis, is a musician from Greece. Her mother, Maria Granlund, is an actress from Sweden. Her mother even acted in a famous movie called Fanny and Alexander.

From a young age, Elli loved figure skating, singing, and dancing. She learned acting from her mother and her aunt. Her aunt runs a theater in Sweden.

A Dream of Bollywood

Elli felt a special connection to India since she was a child. She once said that even at five years old, she loved Indian dance and colorful clothes. Her father, being a Greek musician, noticed that some Greek songs sounded like Indian music.

Elli dreamed of becoming a Bollywood actress when she was a teenager. She would buy Hindi movies from a video store in Stockholm. She also watched many Hindi films online.

Journey in Acting

When Elli was 17, she joined a dance group in Stockholm called Pardesi Dance Group. They mostly performed dances to Bollywood songs.

Early Acting in Sweden

Elli also acted in some projects in Sweden. One of her notable roles was in a 2008 film called Förbjuden Frukt. In this movie, she played a teenage girl named Selen.

In 2010, Elli took part in the Miss Greece beauty contest. She also appeared on a Swedish TV show called Gomorron Sverige.

Moving to Bollywood

In September 2012, Elli moved to Mumbai, India, to start her acting career in Bollywood. She shared that when she was 14, she watched the long Indian film Devdas. She was so amazed that she decided she wanted to act and dance in Bollywood movies.

She joined a modeling agency in Mumbai. This agency helped her get auditions. Her first big project was a TV commercial for Eveready Industries India. She acted alongside the famous Indian actor Akshay Kumar.

First Big Film Role

Elli got her first main role in a comedy thriller film called Mickey Virus. She found out about the audition through a photographer. Even though she didn't know Hindi yet, she worked hard to learn the lines. The director was very impressed when he learned her mother had worked with Ingmar Bergman, a famous director.

For her Bollywood debut, Elli took special training in dance and Hindi speaking. In Mickey Virus, she played Kamayani George, the love interest of the main character. The film was released on October 25, 2013.

Reality TV and More Films

In 2013, Elli became a contestant on the Indian reality TV show Bigg Boss 7. On this show, celebrities live together in a house, away from the outside world. They try to avoid being voted off by the public. The show is hosted by actor Salman Khan. Elli stayed on the show for ten weeks before she was voted out in November 2013. She said she joined the show to have fun and that it helped her become well-known.

In 2014, Elli appeared as a guest on a dance reality show called Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

In 2015, her third film, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, was released. This film was successful at the box office. In 2017, she acted in two more films: Naam Shabana and Poster Boys. She also hosted a reality show called The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

In 2018, Elli appeared in the film Baazaar in a song called "Billionaire." The song was very popular.

Elli performed a special dance in the song "Chamma Chamma" for the film Fraud Saiyaan. This song became very popular quickly, getting millions of views online. She also appeared in another song called "Zila Hilela" with Sidharth Malhotra in the movie Jabariya Jodi.
