Esneux (pronounced 'ess-new') is a charming town in Belgium. It's located in the province of Liège, which is part of Wallonia. Wallonia is a region in Belgium where people mostly speak French.
As of January 1, 2006, Esneux had a total population of 13,072 people. The town covers an area of about 34.05 square kilometers (around 13.15 square miles). This means there were about 384 people living in each square kilometer.

Exploring Esneux and Its Villages
Esneux is made up of a few different areas, called districts. The main districts are Esneux itself and Tilff. Other smaller villages nearby include Méry and Hony.
Location Along the Ourthe River
All these villages are found in the beautiful valley of the Ourthe river. This river flows south of the larger city of Liège. A railway line connects all four villages, making it easy to travel between them. This train line also continues further south towards Luxembourg.

Nature's Giants in Esneux
One of the most amazing natural features in Esneux is a giant sequoia tree. This particular tree is the largest giant sequoia found anywhere in Belgium! It's a truly impressive sight to see.
