Claudio Paolo Palmieri (born December 25, 1977), known as Ethan Kath, is a Canadian musician. He helped start the band Crystal Castles. He was their main songwriter and producer. He also played bass guitar for bands like Kïll Cheerleadër and Die Mannequin.

About Ethan Kath
Ethan Kath was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His parents were from Italy. Before he started Crystal Castles, Ethan played many different instruments in various bands. When he was 14, he played drums in a hardcore band called Jakarta. Later, he played bass guitar in a band called Kïll Cheerleadër. He used the stage names "Ethan Deth" and "Ethan Cawke" then. He was also part of a two-person folk band.
Ethan Kath and his band Crystal Castles were known for keeping their personal lives private. Ethan was often seen wearing hoodies that covered part or all of his face. He also used several different names over the years.
Crystal Castles was recognized by Rolling Stone magazine as important artists for 20 years of Lollapalooza. Ethan Kath and Crystal Castles won the John Peel Award For Innovation at the 2011 NME Awards. Their first album, Crystal Castles, was listed by NME as one of the "Top 100 Greatest Albums of the Decade."
