Evaz (pronounced Eh-vaz) is a city in the Fars province of Iran. It is the main city of Evaz County. The people of Evaz are mostly native Persians who originally followed the ancient Zoroastrian religion. Later, they became Sunni Muslims. Most people in Evaz speak a special language called Evazi.

Evaz is located in the Fars province of Iran. It is about 370 kilometers (230 miles) southeast of Shiraz, a major city in Iran. Evaz sits in a valley about 970 meters (3,182 feet) above sea level. This valley is about 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) long and 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) wide, with low mountains on its north and south sides.

Evaz gets very little rain, usually only about 7.5 centimeters (3 inches) per year.
