Eve Hewson, born on July 7, 1991, is an actress from Ireland. She is the daughter of activist Ali Hewson and the famous singer Bono. Eve started her acting career with a big role in the 2011 film This Must Be the Place.
Later, she became well-known for her part in the TV series The Knick in 2014. She has also appeared in many movies like Blood Ties (2013), Bridge of Spies (2015), and Robin Hood (2018). More recently, Eve starred in the fantasy series The Luminaries (2020) and the mystery series Behind Her Eyes (2021). She also appeared in the comedy series Bad Sisters (2022) and the mystery series The Perfect Couple (2024). In 2023, she played the main character in the musical film Flora and Son.

Early Life and Education
Eve Hewson was born in Dublin, Ireland. She is the second daughter of Ali Hewson, an activist, and Bono, the lead singer of the band U2. Her unique name, Eve, comes from her birth time and date: 7 a.m. on July 7. Her godfather is the musician Gavin Friday.
Eve has an older sister named Jordan and two younger brothers, Elijah and John. She went to primary school at Dalkey School Project. For her secondary education, she attended St. Andrew's College in Booterstown, Dublin. The U2 song "Kite" was inspired by a time when Bono flew a kite with Eve and her sister on Killiney Hill, but the kite flew away.
In 2008, Eve took a short course at the New York Film Academy. She then began studying acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2009. She also studied psychology. Eve graduated from New York University in 2013.

In 2013, Eve played Yvonne in the thriller film Blood Ties. That same year, she appeared in the romantic comedy Enough Said. In this movie, she played the daughter of a character played by James Gandolfini. In November 2013, she was nominated for an award for her film work.

From 2014 to 2015, Eve co-starred in Steven Soderbergh's TV series The Knick. In October 2015, she appeared in Steven Spielberg's Cold War movie Bridge of Spies. She played Carol Donovan, the daughter of the main character, who was played by Tom Hanks.
Eve took on the role of Maid Marian in the 2018 film Robin Hood. This movie also starred Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, and Jamie Dornan. In 2019, it was announced that Eve would play Adele in the Netflix psychological thriller miniseries Behind Her Eyes, which came out in 2021.

Eve Hewson grew up in Killiney, a wealthy area near Dublin. She later lived in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in the United States. She has a sister, Jordan Hewson, and two younger brothers, Elijah Hewson and John Hewson.
Eve graduated from New York University on May 22, 2013. Her father, Bono, chose not to accept an honorary degree from NYU on the same day. He said he wanted to focus on being a proud father instead. Eve dated actor James Lafferty from 2010 to 2015. After the COVID-19 pandemic, Eve moved back to Ireland and has been living at her family home in Killiney since early 2023.
