Early Life and Career Beginnings
Fabrizio Tarducci was born in Senigallia, a town in Italy. He loved music from a young age and wrote his first song when he was 17.
In 1995, he started his music journey by recording his first demo. A year later, he formed a group called Uomini di Mare with his friend, DJ Lato. They released an underground CD called Dei del mare quest'el gruv. In 1999, they released another album, Sindrome di fine millennio, which featured other Italian rappers like Inoki and his own brother, Nesli.
After gaining some fame in the underground hip hop scene, Fabri Fibra started performing across Italy. In 2000, he created his own record label called Teste Mobili Records.
Rise to Solo Stardom
First Solo Albums
In 2002, Fabri Fibra released his first solo album, Turbe giovanili. He wrote the lyrics, and the music was produced by another famous Italian artist, Neffa. This album marked the start of his successful solo career.
Two years later, in 2004, he released his second album, Mr. Simpatia. The music was mostly created by his younger brother, Nesli. The album's title was ironic, as the songs talked about his frustrations with society and the music industry. The album cover was considered shocking at the time and got a lot of attention.
Breakthrough with Tradimento

After a short break, Fabri Fibra signed with a major record label, Universal Music. In 2006, he released the album Tradimento, which means "Betrayal" in English. This album made him a huge star in Italy.
The first single, "Applausi per Fibra" ("Applause for Fibra"), was a massive hit. In the song, he rapped about his life and the challenges he had overcome.
His next single, "Mal di stomaco" ("Stomach Ache"), became famous for its creative music video. The video looked like a real news report from Sky TG24 announcing that Fabri Fibra had died in a car accident. It even included fake interviews with other celebrities. At the end of the video, his body mysteriously disappears.
In 2010, a newspaper poll named Tradimento the second most important Italian album of the 2000s.
Continued Success and New Music
Popular Albums and Hit Songs

In 2007, Fabri Fibra released Bugiardo ("Liar"). The following year, he released a new version of his song "In Italia" featuring the famous Italian rock singer Gianna Nannini. The song was a huge summer hit, and its music video was the most-watched in Italy in 2008.
His 2009 album, Chi vuole essere Fabri Fibra? ("Who Wants to Be Fabri Fibra?"), included the song "Speak English." The video was filmed in Brighton, England, where he had once lived. Another track from the album was featured in the popular video game FIFA 10.
In 2010, he released Controcultura ("Counterculture"), which went straight to #1 on the Italian charts. The album had several hit singles, including "Tranne te" ("Except For You"), which was also a huge success.
Collaborations and Recent Work
Fabri Fibra has worked with many other artists. In 2012, he formed a duo called Rapstar with the rapper Clementino and released the album Non è gratis ("It's Not Free").
His 2013 album, Guerra e pace ("War and Peace"), also reached #1 in Italy and featured music from American producers. He continued to release popular albums like Squallor (2015) and Fenomeno (2017). The single "Pamplona" from Fenomeno, featuring the band Thegiornalisti, was another big hit.
In recent years, he has appeared on hit songs with other major Italian artists, including "Fotografia" with Carl Brave and Francesca Michielin, and "Calipso" with Mahmood and Sfera Ebbasta.
In 2020, Fabri Fibra announced he had signed a new record deal with Sony Music. His first album with Sony, Caos, was released in 2022 and featured many famous Italian rappers like Salmo, Guè, and Marracash.
Musical Rivalries
Like many hip hop artists, Fabri Fibra has been involved in musical rivalries, where rappers "diss" each other in their songs.
Rivalry with Grido
Between 2006 and 2007, Fabri Fibra had a public rivalry with Grido, a member of the group Gemelli DiVersi. They exchanged diss tracks, with each artist making fun of the other in their music. The rivalry eventually ended after a few songs from each side.
Relationship with His Brother
Fabri Fibra also had a public disagreement with his brother, Nesli, who is also a musician. For a few years, they were not on good terms, and Nesli spoke about it in an interview. However, in 2013, Nesli showed that they had made peace by dedicating a friendly line to his brother in his song "Un bacio a te" ("A Kiss to You").
