Fairfield is a suburb located near Droylsden in Tameside, Greater Manchester, England. For a long time, it was part of the historic county of Lancashire. You can find it just south of the Ashton Canal and along the A635 road.
In the 1800s, Fairfield was known for making cotton products. A company called W. M. Christy and Sons even made the very first woven towels in England at their Fairfield Mill.
