Fairfield Bay is a city in the northern part of Arkansas, a state in the United States. It is located in two counties: Cleburne and Van Buren. In 2020, about 2,108 people lived there.
Fairfield Bay sits on the edge of Greers Ferry Lake. It is also home to the Fairfield Bay Resort. This resort is part of a larger company called Wyndham Worldwide.
Geography of Fairfield Bay
Fairfield Bay is mostly in eastern Van Buren County. It also stretches a bit into Cleburne County. The city is built on hills that look over the northern shore of Greers Ferry Lake.
Greers Ferry Lake is a large body of water. It was created from the Little Red River. This river eventually flows into the White River, which then joins the mighty Mississippi River.
The city covers a total area of about 39.7 square kilometers (about 15.3 square miles). Most of this area is land, about 39.5 square kilometers (15.2 square miles). A small part, about 0.1 square kilometers (0.04 square miles), is water.
