Faroese is a cool language spoken by about 70,000 people, mostly on the Faroe Islands. It's part of the Germanic language family, just like English, German, and Swedish. This language has a long history, coming from Old Norse, which was spoken by Vikings way back in the Middle Ages. If you know Icelandic, you'll find Faroese quite similar! The Faroese alphabet uses 29 letters, all based on the Latin alphabet that many languages use.
