Fernanda Garay Rodrigues, often called Fê Garay, is a famous Brazilian volleyball player. She was born on May 10, 1986. Fernanda played as a wing spiker, which is a key attacking position in volleyball. She is well-known for her powerful spikes and strong defense.
Fê Garay achieved great success with the Brazilian national team. She won a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Later, she earned a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. She is 1.79 m (5 ft 10 in) tall.

Fernanda Garay's Volleyball Journey
Early Career and Achievements
Fernanda Garay started her professional volleyball career in Brazil. She quickly became known for her skills. She even served as a military sergeant and played in the 2011 Military World Games. In this tournament, she helped her team win a gold medal. She was also named the Most Valuable Player and Best Spiker.
Playing for Clubs Around the World
Fernanda played for many different clubs during her career. She joined Sollys Nestlé Osasco in Brazil. With this team, she won the gold medal at the 2012 FIVB Women's Club World Championship in Qatar. She was also named the Best Spiker in the Brazilian Superliga for the 2012/13 season.
Later, she moved to play for Fenerbahçe in Turkey. After that, she played for Dinamo Krasnodar in Russia. With Krasnodar, she won the Russian Cup. She also helped them reach the finals of the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship. Even though they lost, she was recognized as the Best Outside Spiker.
She then played for Dinamo Moscow and won the Russian league championship in 2016. She also played in China for Guangdong Evergrande. Her last club was Praia Clube in Brazil, where she played until 2021.
Success with the Brazilian National Team
Fernanda Garay was a very important player for the Brazilian national team. She helped them win many medals in major international competitions.
- Olympic Games: She won a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. She also won a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
- World Championship: She earned a silver medal in 2010 and a bronze medal in 2014.
- World Grand Champions Cup: Her team won gold in 2013.
- World Grand Prix: She won three gold medals (2013, 2014, 2016) and two silver medals (2011, 2012).
- Pan American Games: She won a gold medal in 2011 and a silver medal in 2015.
