Ferwerderadiel () was a municipality in the northern Netherlands. It was located in the province of Friesland. The official name of the municipality was in the West Frisian language. Its Dutch name was Ferwerderadeel (pronounced [fɛrˈʋɛrdəraːˌdeːl]).
In 2019, Ferwerderadiel joined with two other municipalities. These were Dongeradeel and Kollumerland en Nieuwkruisland. Together, they formed a new, larger municipality called Noardeast-Fryslân.

- Saint Frederick of Hallum (around 1113 – 1175) was a Premonstratensian priest. He was known for his religious work.
- Barthold Douma van Burmania (1695 in Hallum – 1766) was a Dutch statesman. He also served as an ambassador.
- Pieter Boeles (1795 in Ferwerd – 1875) was a Dutch Minister. He was also a well-known linguist, studying languages.
- Gerardus Heymans (1857 in Ferwert – 1930) was a Dutch philosopher and psychologist. He was also a respected academic.
- Watse Cuperus (1891 in Blije – 1966) was a Dutch journalist and writer. He wrote in the West Frisian language.

- Maria Sterk (born 1979 in Hallum) is a Dutch marathon speed skater. She is known for her long-distance skating.
