Franklin is a small city in Franklin County, Nebraska, United States. In 2020, about 941 people lived there. Franklin is also the county seat of Franklin County. This means it's the main town where the county government offices are located.

Franklin's Story

Franklin was started a long time ago, in the 1870s. It was named after a very famous American, Benjamin Franklin.

A former governor of Nebraska, Ashton Shallenberger, passed away in Franklin. This happened on February 22, 1938, while he was giving a speech.
