A Look Back: Franklin's History
The city of Franklin was planned out in 1882. It was named after Benjamin Franklin, a very famous American inventor and statesman.
An important historical event, the 1862 Battle of Redwood Ferry, happened just outside where Franklin would later be built. This battle was part of a larger conflict in Minnesota's history.
