Frankton is a town in Madison County, Indiana, United States. It is part of the larger Indianapolis–Carmel–Anderson metropolitan area. In 2020, about 1,775 people lived there. The town is located in Pipe Creek and Lafayette townships.

History of Frankton
Frankton was first planned out in 1853. It officially became a town in 1871.
Geography of Frankton
Frankton is located in the northern part of Madison County. Indiana State Road 128 goes through the middle of town. This road leads east about 6 miles (10 km) to Indiana State Road 9. It also goes west about 4 miles (6 km) to State Road 13.
The city of Anderson is about 12 miles (19 km) south. Anderson is the main city of the county. Elwood is about 7 miles (11 km) northwest. Alexandria is about 8 miles (13 km) northeast.
Frankton covers an area of about 1.06 square miles (2.74 km²). All of this area is land. Pipe Creek flows through the northern part of town. It goes southwest towards the White River.
