The fulvous-breasted woodpecker (scientific name: Dendrocopos macei) is a type of bird that belongs to the Picidae family, which includes all woodpeckers. This colorful bird lives in parts of Asia, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, India, and Myanmar. It used to be thought that the freckle-breasted woodpecker was the same species, but now scientists know they are different.
What Does It Look Like?
The fulvous-breasted woodpecker is a medium-sized bird. It has a mix of black and white feathers, which is called "pied."
