She even received a nomination for a special award called the Laurence Olivier Award for her role in Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical. Gabrielle started acting when she was very young, at just seven years old, in a musical by the famous Andrew Lloyd Webber called Whistle Down the Wind. Besides acting, she is also a creative director for the Mawa Theatre Company and produces an interview series called BlackStage UK.

Before going to university, she studied at Sir George Monoux College in Walthamstow. Later, she trained to be an actress at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where she earned her degree in 2011.
