Garbh-bheinn (also called Garven) is a mountain that stands 808 meters (about 2,651 feet) tall. It is part of the Cuillin mountain range on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. This mountain is found in the middle of the island, a bit to the northeast of the main Black Cuillin peaks.
About Garbh-bheinn
Garbh-bheinn is a special mountain because it is made of two different types of rock. Part of it is made from Red Cuillin granite. The other part is made from Black Cuillin gabbro. This mix of rocks makes the mountain unique.
Location on Skye
Garbh-bheinn is located in the heart of the Isle of Skye. It is an "outlier" of the main Cuillin range. This means it stands a little bit apart from the other big mountains. The closest village to Garbh-bheinn is Torrin, which is to the south.
What Makes it Special?
