Gina L. Gershon (born June 10, 1962) is an American actress and singer. She has starred in many movies and TV shows. Some of her well-known films include Cocktail (1988), Showgirls (1995), Bound (1996), and Face/Off (1997).

On TV, she has appeared in shows like Rescue Me and How to Make It in America. She also played Gladys Jones, Jughead's mom, in the teen drama Riverdale. Later, she appeared as Jeanie Bloom in the medical series New Amsterdam.

Early Life and Education

Gina Gershon was born in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Mickey, was an interior decorator. Her father, Stan, worked in import-export and sales. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.

Gina went to Collier Street Elementary School and Woodland Hills Academy. She started acting when she was 14 years old, while attending Beverly Hills High School. After high school, she studied at Emerson College in Boston. She then moved to New York University, where she earned a degree in drama and psychology/philosophy in 1983.

She always knew she wanted to be an actress. However, her journey in entertainment began with music and dance.

In 1992, Gina Gershon played Nancy Barbato, Frank Sinatra's first wife, in a TV movie about his life. She later had a recurring role on Melrose Place. She also played the main character, Glenn Hall, in the detective series Snoops.

Gershon has made many guest appearances on popular shows. These include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Rescue Me, and Ugly Betty. She also had a recurring role on How to Make It in America.

She has done voice acting for animated series. She voiced Six in Tripping the Rift and Catwoman in The Batman. From 2017 to 2018, she voiced Langwidere in Lost in Oz.

In 2013, Gershon played Donatella Versace in the TV film House of Versace. Her performance was highly praised. That same year, she began starring in the action series Cleaners.
