David Glen Harmon (born January 2, 1921 – died March 9, 2007) was a Canadian ice hockey player. He was a defenceman, which means he played a defensive role on the ice. Glen Harmon played for the famous Montreal Canadiens team. His career with them lasted from 1942 to 1951. He was born in Holland, Manitoba, and passed away in Mississauga, Ontario.

Glen Harmon's Hockey Journey

Glen Harmon's professional hockey career began on June 27, 1941. The Montreal Canadiens chose him from another team, the Tulsa Oilers. He would then play for Montreal for the next nine years.

His first season with the Canadiens, in 1941–1942, was spent playing with the Montreal Senior Canadiens. This team was part of the QSHL league. In November 1942, Glen stepped onto the ice for his first NHL game. This was a big step in his career.

Winning the Stanley Cup

Glen Harmon helped the Canadiens win the Stanley Cup twice. The first win was in the 1943-44 season. The second time was in the 1945-46 season. These were major achievements for him and his team.

Later Career and Retirement

After his time with the Canadiens, Harmon played his last four seasons with the Montreal Royals. This team was part of the QHL league. At the end of the 1954–55 season, Glen Harmon officially retired from playing hockey.
