GoldenEye 007 is a super popular first-person shooter video game for the Nintendo 64 console. It came out in 1997. The game's story is based on the 1995 movie GoldenEye. In the game, you play as James Bond, a famous secret agent known as Agent 007.
This game lets you see the action through Bond's eyes, making it a "first-person shooter." It was one of the first games to have a really fun multiplayer mode where friends could play together. Many people loved GoldenEye 007 and still say it's one of the best video games ever made!
Later, in 2010, a new version of the game was released for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. However, this newer game wasn't as popular as the original.
Exploring the Levels
The game has 20 different levels, which are grouped into 9 main missions. Some missions have just one level, while others have several. There are also 2 extra bonus missions you can unlock!
Here's a look at some of Bond's exciting missions:
- Mission 1: Arkhangelsk – Bond goes to a secret laboratory to help another agent, Alec Trevelyan (Agent 006).
- Mission 2: Severnaya – Bond needs to sneak into a bunker and steal a special key for a satellite.
- Mission 3: Kyrgyzstan – Bond's job is to destroy a Silo and stop rockets from launching.
- Mission 4: Monte Carlo – Bond gets on a ship called a Frigate to save people who are being held hostage. He also needs to put a tracker on an enemy helicopter.
- Mission 5: Severnaya – Bond returns to the same place as Mission 2. This time, he rescues a character named Natalya.
- Mission 6: St Petersburg – Bond finds out that 006 is actually the leader of a bad crime group called Janus. This group is using the satellite for evil plans. Bond gets arrested but escapes and chases after 006.
- Mission 7: Cuba – Bond follows 006 to Cuba for a final fight with his old friend.
- Mission 8: Teotihuacán – Bond travels to an ancient Aztec temple. His goal is to blow up a secret rocket base hidden there. This level was inspired by the 1979 Bond movie Moonraker.
- Mission 9: el-Saghira – Bond visits a temple in Egypt to find the evil Baron Samedi. This character is from the 1973 Bond movie Live and Let Die.
