What Was the Golden Ram?
In some versions of the story, the special golden ram was said to be the child of the sea god Poseidon and a goddess named Themisto. Sometimes, other goddesses like Nephele or Theophane are mentioned as its mother. This shows how different storytellers added their own ideas to the myth over time.
The Quest for the Golden Fleece
Jason's journey to find the Golden Fleece was full of challenges. He gathered a team of heroes called the Argonauts, and they sailed on a ship named the Argo. The exciting story of Jason, the Argonauts, and the Golden Fleece has also been made into movies! Two well-known films are Hercules from 1958, starring Steve Reeves, and Jason and the Argonauts from 1963, starring Todd Armstrong. These movies helped introduce the ancient myth to new generations.
