Goldie & Bear is a fun American animated TV show for young kids. It started on September 12, 2015. The show was made for Disney Junior by Jorge Aguirre and Rick Gitelson. Chris Gilligan directed it. The animation was done using computers, which is called CGI animation.

The show features songs by Rob Cantor and music by Greg Nicolett and Gregory James Jenkins. The first season was made by Milk Barn Animation. It ran from September 2015 to August 2016. A second season was made by Titmouse, Inc. It aired from September 2017 to October 2018.

What is Goldie & Bear About?

The series is about Goldie Locks and Jack Bear. After Goldie accidentally breaks Jack's favorite chair, they become best friends!

Throughout the show, Goldie and Jack explore the Fairy Tale Forest. They meet many other famous characters from fairy tales and nursery rhymes. These include Little Red Riding Hood, the Three Little Pigs, Humpty Dumpty, and Jack Horner.

Goldie Locks

  • Goldie Locks (voiced by Natalie Lander) – Goldie is an 11-year-old girl. She becomes best friends with Jack Bear after breaking his chair. She has golden hair with a pink bow and wears a blue dress. Her father, Robin Locks, appears in season one. Her mother, Mrs. Locks, is introduced in season two.

Jack Bear

  • Jack Bear (voiced by Georgie Kidder) – Jack is Mama and Papa Bear's 8-year-old son. He meets Goldie after she breaks his chair. At first, they don't get along. But soon, they forgive each other and go on many exciting adventures together.

Bear Family and Friends

  • Mama Bear (voiced by Mary Birdsong) – Jack Bear's mother. She is a great cook and baker. She is also known for taming trolls!
  • Papa Bear (voiced by Barry Wiggins) – Jack Bear's father. He is a skilled builder. He also enjoys fishing and sometimes takes Jack along.
  • Robin Locks (voiced by Michael McKean) – Goldie's father. He works as the barber in Fairytale Forest.
  • Marian Locks (voiced by Jane Lynch) – Goldie's mother. She travels the world to find special items for her customers. She uses a unique wheelchair that can fly!
  • Grandma May – Goldie's grandmother and Marian's mother. She travels a lot and sends Goldie cool treasures.
  • Magic Gnome (voiced by David Lodge) – A friendly gnome who lives in a tree. He helps anyone who needs it. If you find him, you get one wish, but only the first time!

Other Fairy Tale Friends

  • Aloysius the Big Bad Wolf (voiced by Jim Cummings) – Also known as Big Bad. He often tries to steal goodies from Little Red Riding Hood or from windows. He is usually the main bad guy. But he also has a soft side and loves playing with kittens.
  • Phil the Good Wolf (voiced by Tom Kenny) – Aloysius' older brother. He is known as the Big Good Wolf because he is kind and always helps others.
  • Little Red Riding Hood (voiced by Justine Huxley) – An 11-year-old girl, also called Little Red. She wears a red cape and hood. Her father is the Muffin Man.
  • Granny (voiced by Philece Sampler) – Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother.
  • Humpty Dumpty (voiced by Mitchell Whitfield) – A book-loving egg. He is often seen reading on his stone wall or swimming with his egg friends.
  • Jack (voiced by Miles Brown) – Jill's 5-year-old brother.
  • Jill (voiced by Marsai Martin) – Jack's 7-year-old sister.
  • Fairy Godmother (voiced by Lesley Nicol) – A kind fairy who grants wishes. Sometimes her spells go wrong, but she always fixes them!
  • The Three Little Pigs – Each pig is named after their building material:
    • Brix (voiced by David Kaufman) – The older brother who builds with bricks.
    • Twigs (voiced by Kath Soucie) – The girl pig who builds with sticks.
    • Bailey (voiced by David Lodge) – The male pig who builds with straw.
  • Prince Charming (voiced by Scott Foley) – The prince of Fairytale Forest. He cares for his people and is good friends with Goldie and Bear.
  • Jack (voiced by David Kaufman) – A 10-year-old boy who lives with his pet goose, Goosey (who lays golden eggs), and Cow (who jumps over the moon). He is friends with the Giant.
  • Giant (voiced by Jim Cummings) – A friendly giant who lives in the clouds. He often loses his things, which fall into Fairytale Forest.
  • Little Old Woman (voiced by Justine Huxley) – A kind woman who lives in a shoe with many children.
  • Jack B. Nimble (voiced by Justin Felbinger) – A 10-year-old boy who can be rude. He loves playing buttercup ball.
  • Jack Horner (voiced by Miles Brown) – A 5-year-old boy who loves plum pie and drawing.
  • Ginger (voiced by Maya Ritter) – A kind witch who lives in the forest with her purple cat, Sprinkles.
  • Brian (voiced by Thomas Lennon) – A mouse who thinks he's bad luck until Goldie and Bear help him get glasses. He fixes clocks.
  • Skippy the Dragon (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) – A baby dragon who lives on Misty Mountain. He is good friends with Bear.
