Grafton is a small village located in Fillmore County, Nebraska, in the United States. In 2020, about 107 people lived there.

History of Grafton

Grafton was started in 1874. It was probably named after a town called Grafton, Massachusetts. The name was also chosen to fit with the other towns along the new Burlington & Quincy Railroad line. This train line went west from Lincoln. The towns were named in alphabetical order, like Berks, Crete, Dorchester, Exeter, Fairmont, and then Grafton.
